Cannot get sound from the headset. Instructions are not clear. It shows to physically connect to the computer. Then step 1 states to turn on press and hold the button for 3 seconds then step 2 turn off: press and hold the button for 3 seconds then step 3 Pairing: press and hold the button for 8 seconds. Following those steps in that order I still do not get sound, nor does my computer even show the device.
What does occur is doing step 1 I get a beep and then holding the button for 3 seconds I get a beep and a tone, this makes me believe that step turned the headset on. But alas, no sound. I do not understand 'pairing'. It sounds like a process to make the wireless connection. But the headset does not show in the devices. My system is an HP Lenovo with windows 8.1 installed thanks for any input.

When connecting Bluetooth devices for the first time, a registration is required. This process is called Pairing. Most Bluetooth devices must be paired before they can communicate with each other. When devices are paired, they share a pass key which authenticates the two devices to make sure that wireless communication and security is established. After two devices are paired, the devices will automatically recognize each other and you can then connect and disconnect the devices easily.
You don’t have to pair them again unless the pairing is deleted on one or both devices. Now, what I need to know is what computer do you have? I need the brand and model number. It is either an HP computer or a Lenovo, it cannot be both. You probably need to turn on the Bluetooth hardware first on the computer before you can pair the two devices. Usually on a laptop it’s the Fn key and F3 or Fn and F5. Or you can go into Windows 8 and turn on and off your wireless settings.
Then you may need to go into Windows settings and go to “Add a device” to add the headset. This is where you will hold down the button on the headset to pair the device and connect. It has been a long time since I unpacked the headsets pairing it to my computer. First, I connected HP headset by USB.
After hearing the beep, I was not able to hear anything els from the computer. Please note that my laptop is MacBook Air with windows 8.1 installed with bootcamp. When I disconnected the USB, holding on/off button for 3 seconds or 8 seconds did not work.

My laptop's Bluetooth is able to connect with other devices like my cell phone. I have tried clicking on PC settings then under devices, I clicked on add devices. Unfortunately a new device appear as unknown device which it's pairing ends up with a notification saying 'That did not work, try again and make sure that your device is discoverable'. I have been searching on youtube for selutions and that did not work as well.
It would be nice if someone provides solutions or advices regarding this issue. Thank you Maryam.
